True Happiness

Today we read:

“Blessed (happy, blithesome, joyous, spiritually prosperous–with life-joy and satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions) are the meek (the mild, patient, long-suffering), for they shall inherit the earth! [Ps. 37:11.]”
Matthew‬ ‭5:5‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Another word for meekness is “the ability to be longsuffering”. That is having or showing patience in spite of troubles, especially those caused by other people. There is no way you can exercise this fruit without love and self control. It takes your constant yielding to the Holy Spirit for this fruit to be seen. I know you may be asking: “how can I yield to the Spirit?” It’s simple; submit to God’s Word, that is how you flow or yield to the Holy Spirit.

Remember, the Word says: “the meek shall inherit the earth”.

The GNT says:

“Happy are those who are humble; they will receive what God has promised!”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:5‬ ‭GNT‬‬

In other words, to take hold of the promises of God for your life, you must demonstrate meekness (long suffering).

It also says in the book of Hebrew:

“that ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭6:12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The word “patience” in this text is long suffering which is the same as the word “meekness” in AMPC.

Do you want to take hold of the earth? I mean taking hold of all that which God has promised you here on earth?

Be meek!

Meekness is not weakness, but God’s Weapon of receiving His long awaiting precious fruit of the earth (James 5:17).

Let the Spirit of meekness always dominate you.

True Happiness is experienced when you learn to exercise the spirit of meekness. For you will inherit the earth.

Let’s pray:
Heavenly Father, help me by Your Spirit to always function in meekness. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen.
