-True Happiness-

Today we read:

“Blessed (happy, blithesome, joyous, spiritually prosperous–with life-joy and satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions) are the meek (the mild, patient, long-suffering), for they shall inherit the earth! [Ps. 37:11.]”

There is no way you can operate in meekness without love. When God’s Love is dominating you, you will be gentle and tender in the way you treat others.

“But the spiritual nature produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There are no laws against things like that.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:22-23‬ ‭GW‬‬

Love is the fruit of the Spirit and out of love, meekness can now manifest. God’s Love has been shared abroad in our heart (spirit) by the Holy Ghost. Walking in love is not just a good feeling you get daily. It’s a decision and a deliberate action you have to do by yielding to the Holy Spirit.

Therefore, for you to operate in meekness (patient, quiet, gentle, easily imposed on and submissive), the spirit of love must dominate you. You will need self-control to consistently walk in meekness.

The Bible says it’s because of love God sent Jesus to die for our sins; without meekness He (Jesus Christ) could not accomplish this task.

“Have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. Although he was in the form of God and equal with God, he did not take advantage of this equality. Instead, he emptied himself by taking on the form of a servant, by becoming like other humans, by having a human appearance. He humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, death on a cross. This is why God has given him an exceptional honor— the name honored above all other names— so that at the name of Jesus everyone in heaven, on earth, and in the world below will kneel and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.”

For you to take hold of the earth, the spirit of meekness, which stems out of God’s Love, must dominate you.

It’s time to influence your community and take hold of it through the power of God’s Love.

Remember, meekness is not weakness!
