-True Happiness-

Today we read:

“Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Whenever you meet a meek person, there’s always an atmosphere of authority, respect and self confidence with them. They know what they are about, they don’t make loud noises like empty vessels, but are loaded with victuals. Their confidence and boasting is not in themselves, but always in God. Humility is the aroma they carry, they attract all kinds of people and people in return extol them for their kindness, gentleness and attentiveness to them.

The Word of Gods says:

“Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, Meek, and sitting upon an ass, And a colt the foal of an ass. And the disciples went, and did as Jesus commanded them, and brought the ass, and the colt, and put on them their clothes, and they set him thereon. And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees, and strawed them in the way. And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭21:5-9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus Christ did not take hold of the earth through pride, but in humility. The Word of God says that the people threw their garments on the floor for Him to walk on and praised Him. If you noticed it was about the people because people are God’s treasures on earth. So the way you approach people or handle people determines whether you will inherit the earth or not. The reason why these people praised Him is because He came to them in meekness and not in arrogance or pride. Meekness gives birth to exaltation and gives you honour, favour, and respect before God and man.

Do you want to be exalted? Be meek!

Do you want to inherit the earth? Be meek!

Jesus Christ had to set aside the Glory He had with the Father (John 17:5) to identify with us, so that He could take hold of His earthly treasures (us). Otherwise it would be impossible for Him to be the Saviour and Joy of the whole world.

It’s time to step down from your high horse so that you minister to those in need. That is the only way you inherit the earth!

Remember, God’s treasure is people and not things.

He resists the proud and exalts the humble, thus submit yourself to Him and He will lift you up.

Remember, the earth is for the meek!

Let’s pray:
Heavenly Father, let the Spirit of meekness be part of my daily life as I go after Your purpose for my life here on earth. In Jesus Name, I pray, Amen.
