Bible Study Plan 2019

Today we read:
Psalm 131-133

-Food for thought day 323-

• Luke 23:34
•‭‭ Romans‬ ‭12:21‬
•‭‭ John‬ ‭14:9

When Jesus Christ was attacked by His persecutors, the enemy was targeting His heart to make Him bitter. Jesus refused to allow His emotions to determine His actions or influence His speech.

That is why He said: “And Jesus prayed, Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do. They divided His garments and distributed them by casting lots for them. [Ps. 22:18.]”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭23:34‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Jesus Christ refused to change, knowing His enemies could never repent without Him dying on their behalf and pleading for their forgiveness; giving them a new chance and opportunity to repent. He could not act against His nature and assignment which was to love, forgive and bring salvation to all and to as many that will believe in His Name (John 3:16; Romans 3:22).

Even though, Christ had every reason and opportunity to be bitter because He had a will of His own. He chose life instead of death and refused to be bitter.

If Jesus allowed the spirit of unforgiveness to rule over Him, He would not be different from His enemies and our salvation would have been forfeited. But thank God Almighty that irrespective of how they treated Christ, He refused to change.

The Word of God says: “Do not let yourself be overcome by evil, but overcome (master) evil with good.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭12:21‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Loving people is God’s way of giving them an opportunity of repentance and to experience God for who He is and not for what people say He is.

“……..Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father. How can you say then, Show us the Father?”
‭‭John‬ ‭14:9‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Remember: you’re God’s representative to those whom you come across in this life.

Never stop loving people, for you are God’s door to their salvation.

Many blessings in Jesus’ Name.

Think and Act!!!!!
