Today we read:
Psalms 121-122

• Colossians 3:13-14
•‭‭ Romans‬ ‭14:1-3
•‭‭ Ephesians‬ ‭4:15‬ ‭

We grow by loving one another, irrespective of our differences.

“Be gentle and forbearing with one another and, if one has a difference (a grievance or complaint) against another, readily pardoning each other; even as the Lord has [freely] forgiven you, so must you also [forgive]. And above all these [put on] love and enfold yourselves with the bond of perfectness [which binds everything together completely in ideal harmony].”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3:13-14‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

We must not agree with everyone, but when it comes to the love of God, our self-ego must be put aside and consider the other by letting God’s love dominate us. This is where tolerance steps in, knowing the way we view things depends on our knowledge and faith in God. For what one person may see as a sin, right or wrong, another who is matured in the faith might see it to be the opposite.

The Word of God says: “AS FOR the man who is a weak believer, welcome him [into your fellowship], but not to criticize his opinions or pass judgment on his scruples or perplex him with discussions. One [man’s faith permits him to] believe he may eat anything, while a weaker one [limits his] eating to vegetables. Let not him who eats look down on or despise him who abstains, and let not him who abstains criticize and pass judgment on him who eats; for God has accepted and welcomed him.”

When we learn to tolerate one another, it will cause us to grow together as one family in Christ; helping the weak to grow with the strong in the Lord by learning from the matured in the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ.

That is why the Word of God says: “…. Enfolded in love, let us grow up in every way and in all things into Him who is the Head, [even] Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).”

Remember: Love tolerates one another faults.

Learn to bear with one another, knowing our Lord Jesus always forbears with us so that we may all attain oneness or unity in the faith of Jesus Christ.
