Bible Study Plan 2019
Today we read:
-Food for thought day 300-
• 1 Corinthians 6:15-20
Love has its boundaries for our good. The Word of God says:
“Do you not see and know that your bodies are members (bodily parts) of Christ (the Messiah)? Am I, therefore, to take the parts of Christ and make [them] parts of a prostitute? Never! Never! Or do you not know and realize that when a man joins himself to a prostitute, he becomes one body with her? The two, it is written, shall become one flesh. [Gen. 2:24.] But the person who is united to the Lord becomes one spirit with Him. Shun immorality and all sexual looseness [flee from impurity in thought, word, or deed]. Any other sin which a man commits is one outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Do you not know that your body is the temple (the very sanctuary) of the Holy Spirit Who lives within you, Whom you have received [as a Gift] from God? You are not your own, You were bought with a price [purchased with a preciousness and paid for, made His own]. So then, honor God and bring glory to Him in your body.”
1 Corinthians 6:15-20 AMPC
When God asks you to flee from something it’s not because He wants to control you, but because of protections from the trap of satan. Within these boundaries, He can keep you from evil to come.
Also, the boundaries are formed so that you will not take God and His Word for granted. God’s Word reveals who He is and how He thinks.
That is why the Word of God says:
“Jesus answered, If a person [really] loves Me, he will keep My word [obey My teaching]; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home (abode, special dwelling place) with him.”
John 14:23 AMPC
It’s about time we respect the boundaries of God’s love.
Remember: loving God is sticking to the boundaries of His Word.
Obedience is better than sacrifice!
Many blessings in Jesus’ Name.
Think and act!!!!!
