Today we read:
Isaiah 51-52
1 Thessalonians 1-3

-Food for thought day 266-

• John 3:16

The Word of God says: “For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him, shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

My emphasis is built on the statement: “… His only begotten Son…” That means God gave all He had because of love for this world. He gave from an uncomfortable place so that we might be saved. As long as our love for people only happens in our best moments, we are still not practising God’s love. God’s love is costly, therefore, it takes strong men and women of faith in Christ to walk in God’s love.

Abraham demonstrated his love for God when he was about to sacrifice his only son, trusting God that He will resurrect him from the dead (Genesis 22).

When it comes to loving people we must give beyond ourselves and unreservedly. As we practice love in this dimension, we will walk in the same footsteps of Jesus Christ.

God wants us to always give our best to people when it comes to walking in God’s love.

Remember: always give your best to people when it comes to walking in God’s love.

God gave “His only begotten Son” for love sake, so that we will learn to give our best to people for love sake!

Many blessings in Jesus’ Name.
