Today we read:
Isaiah 47-48
Colossians 1-2

• Galatians 2:20

It is often said: ”your reputation is everything.” However this is one of the things that promotes selfishness. As long as your reputation still counts instead of Christ’s, you can’t walk in God’s love.

Furthermore, the Word of God says: “Let this same attitude and purpose and [humble] mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus: [Let Him be your example in humility:] Who, although being essentially one with God and in the form of God [possessing the fullness of the attributes which make God God], did not think this equality with God was a thing to be eagerly grasped or retained, But stripped Himself [of all privileges and rightful dignity], so as to assume the guise of a servant (slave), in that He became like men and was born a human being.”

The mind of Christ is supposed to dominate you in all you do, not your reputation. As you allow His mind which is Love, to rule, you will realize your reputation doesn’t count, because Christ’s life in you will swallow up every animosity or carnality in you (2 Corinthians 5:4). For you will no more be dominated by your flesh, but by God’s inherited ability (The Holy Spirit) in you.

Paul the Apostle found out this great truth and said:
“I have been crucified with Christ [in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ (the Messiah) lives in me; and the life I now live in the body I live by faith in (by adherence to and reliance on and complete trust in) the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself up for me.”

The only way Paul could enjoy his relationship with God and walk in God’s Love, is to accept the fact that he is death to self, but alive unto God in Christ. For him to live the life of Christ, he must trust every word and follow every instruction given by the Lord Jesus Christ.

Remember: you can’t walk in Christ’s Love as long as you are motivated by your flesh (selfishness) instead of The Holy Spirit.

Live the life of Christ, which is Love by faith!
