Psalms 51

-Food for thought day 113-

• 1 Corinthians 13:7
• Colossians 1:27

The reason why we easily give up on others is because we refuse to allow Christ in us, our hope of glory, to dominate us.

“To whom God was pleased to make known how great for the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ within and among you, the Hope of [realizing the] glory.”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1:27‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

The Bible says: “love hopeth all things (does not give up on hope in God or others despite the circumstances).”

“Love… hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, …”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:7‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

The word hope is a desire with an expectation to obtain. Every expectation is based on a promise; all the promises in God are yes and amen. If we have this hope in God about our circumstances or others, we will not give up easily. Knowing God will always do what He has promised us.

The key is having an expectation while walking in God’s love that He will honor His name in our lives. Without holy expectation in God and His promises, walking in love in the midst of challenges will be difficult, also towards others.

Remember, love never fails and it will take an act of our will, as we yield to the Holy Spirit, to keep walking in love. This is a matter of choice in doing what is right and refusing to go by our feelings.

That is why the Bible says: “[Now] we have this [hope] as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul [it cannot slip and it cannot break down under whoever steps out upon it–a hope] that reaches farther and enters into [the very certainty of the Presence] within the veil, [Lev. 16:2.]”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭6:19‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

The “Hope “which is an anchor on how we feel is Jesus (The Word) in us. Our soul must be renewed with God’s Word so that it can expect God to do what He has promised.

Many blessings in Jesus’ Name.
