Nowadays we see many victims of lust and offences in the Body of Christ. We must stand our grounds against lust and offences. These spirits have destroyed the unity and peace among the brethren.

One day the disciples of Jesus Christ saw a man doing miracles in Jesus name. They were filled with discontent because he was not in their company. Do you know these people were dealing with lust and the spirit of offence ?

“From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?”
‭‭James‬ ‭4:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

As a result of their discontentment, Jesus Christ warned them against the spirit of lust and offence.

“And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea. And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.”

As a matter of fact, these two spirits have broken unity and peace amongst the brethren. Anyone fellowshipping with such spirits is selfish.

In Romans 1:29-32 the Bible refers to such people as haters of God and also associate them to the character of Satan. In other words, hell is their portion. We all must know hell was never created for man, but for Satan and his host of demons. We don’t need to be part of it; we are born again. It’s hard work to practice something that you’re not.

Therefore we must allow the commandment of to love and walk in God’s love to dominate us.

Remember, love is not self-seeking and thinks the best out of everything.

Let us all stay pure in our motive, for unto the pure all things are pure.

Walk away from lust and offences!
