• Mark 9:33-34
• 2 Corinthians 10:12

Pride goes before a fall. Whenever you meet a prideful person, you’ve just met someone who is about to trip over. God’s love is not bogus. The many self-exalted or appointed people, we meet nowadays, are a sign that we need to walk in the God kind of love.

One day the disciples of Jesus Christ had an argument among themselves about who is the greatest.

“And he came to Capernaum: and being in the house he asked them, What was it that ye disputed among yourselves by the way? But they held their peace: for by the way they had disputed among themselves, who should be the greatest.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭9:33-34‬ ‭KJV‬‬

These are people who were with Jesus daily, yet were so competitive and full of themselves and unwilling to submit to one another. They failed to understand that love does not have a swelled head. In today’s Christianity, we still see this among believers, comparing themselves to themselves.

The Bible says: “Not that we [have the audacity to] venture to class or [even to] compare ourselves with some who exalt and furnish testimonials for themselves! However, when they measure themselves with themselves and compare themselves with one another, they are without understanding and behave unwisely.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭10:12‬ ‭AMPC.

Therefore, we act as fools when we think we are better than the other. This is the spirit of pride.

The Bible says: “… love vaunted not itself, is not puffed up…”.
So whenever we act in pride by making our point, we release the spirit of competition among ourselves.

That’s why we must check our motives when we correct people or talk to people and make sure pride is not behind our statements.

God resists the proud and exalts the humble.

Remember, love is not puffed up.

Many blessings in Jesus’ Name.

Think and Act!!!!
