We must learn to do what is right, not what we think or feel is right to do. This is the main reason many find it difficult loving those who hurt them.

Love is not of the head, but of the heart (human spirit) that makes an impact on our soul and body.

For us to practice God’s love, we must first locate where it is in us.

The Bible says: “Such hope never disappoints or deludes or shames us, for God’s love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit Who has been given to us.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭5:5‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

God’s love is shed abroad in our heart (spirit) and not our head (soul). It’s from our spirit through its oneness with the Holy Spirit that our soul experiences or receives God’s love; and then we act it out. That is why we can’t go by feelings in walking in God’s love. Our feelings are most of the time deceptive. This is the reason why we must practice God’s Word irrespective of how we feel. It’s by practicing that our soul gets in line with God’s plan and purpose for our lives.

This is the reason why forgiveness is of the heart (spirit) and not of the head (soul).

“So also My heavenly Father will deal with every one of you if you do not freely forgive your brother from your heart his offenses.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭18:35‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Jesus said from the “heart” express because our heart maybe doing the right thing, but our soul may feel awkward about it. The reason being; our spirit knows God’s will due to its oneness with the Holy Spirit, but our soul does not know except being educated in that direction and also practicing the information received.

That’s why we must learn practicing God’s Word (in this case walking in God’s love) irrespective of our feelings.

The best way to learn to do anything, is to do it!!!

Remember, God’s love is not a confession but our lifestyle because walking in love is fulfilling the law.
