-Food for thought day 101-

• Exodus 20:1-17
• Deuteronomy 7:11-15
• Romans 13:8-10

In the Old Testament, the blessings of God manifested in the lives of the saints as they kept the commandments and its statutes.

“Thou shalt, therefore, keep the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which I command thee this day, to do them. Wherefore it shall come to pass, if ye hearken to these judgments, and keep, and do them, that the Lord thy God shall keep unto thee the covenant and the mercy which he sware unto thy fathers: And he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee. Thou shalt be blessed above all people: there shall not be male or female barren among you, or among your cattle. And the Lord will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee; but will lay them upon all them that hate thee.”
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭7:11-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

When Jesus Christ came, He did not break any of these commandments, but He fulfilled them and introduced a new one with His blood, which is called Love. This is not natural human love, but God’s love.

And it says: “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”
‭‭John‬ ‭13:34-35‬ ‭KJV‬‬

In other words, the law of our kingdom as believers in Christ is love. Therefore, for us to partake of the blessings of our nation, is by walking in the love of God which is shared abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit.

For this reason, the Word of God says: “Keep out of debt and owe no man anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor [who practices loving others] has fulfilled the Law [relating to one’s fellowmen, meeting all its requirements]. The commandments, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not kill, You shall not steal, You shall not covet (have an evil desire), and any other commandment, are summed up in the single command, You shall love your neighbor as [you do] yourself. [Exod. 20:13-17; Lev. 19:18.]”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭13:8-9‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Love is the only debt we must continue to pay. It is because of God’s love that we all experience redemption.

So walking in love is fulfilling the law and this will not only cause God’s blessings to come running after and over us, but it will make us a blessing to our generation in Jesus’ Name.

Remember, walking in love is fulfilling the law.

Many blessings in Jesus’ Name.
