Luke 14
Psalms 43

-Food for thought day 100-

• Luke 17:1
• Colossians 3:12-14

When God forgives us, He hides our sins in the depth of the sea and never digs into it to relate to us.

As long as we live in this world we should expect offences.

“Then said He unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭17:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Our Lord Jesus Christ was preparing us against the spirit of offence that has caused a lot of division and fights unity amongst the brethren. The devil has used this spirit to cause many believers to walk away from their blessings and separate themselves from the fellowship of the brethren.

We must stand against and fight back this spirit. God is not the author of offence but of love. The cure to this spirit is practicing the love of God.

We can’t deal with this spirit as long as we’re selfish.

That is why the Bible says: “Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3:12-14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We must learn to put on the love of God and forgive as Christ forgave, knowing the spirit of offence is there to cause disunity amongst the brethren.

Remember, love does not keep any account of wrong.

Many blessings in Jesus’ Name.
