Today we read:
2 Peter 1-3

-Food for thought 2020 day 48-

Scripture of meditation:
• 1 John 3:14

God has given you His Spirit to bear witness, to record, to testify and to give evidence that you are His child in circumstances that concerns you and others.

The word of God says:

“In your [own] Law it is written that the testimony (evidence) of two persons is reliable and valid. [Deut. 19:15.]”

It’s the same way the Spirit of God will cause you to know certain things by testifying with your spirit (Romans 8:16). This is not foreknowledge or premeditated, it’s an inner prompting of the Holy Spirit within you. It’s the Holy Spirit given you evidence of something you never knew of.

For example; the Word of God says:

“He who believes in the Son of God [who adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Him] has the testimony [possesses this divine attestation] within himself. He who does not believe God [in this way] has made Him out to be and represented Him as a liar, because he has not believed (put his faith in, adhered to, and relied on) the evidence (the testimony) that God has borne regarding His Son. And this is that testimony (that evidence): God gave us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.”

It’s God bearing a record with your spirit and not your soul or body. It has to do with you, so stop expecting others to know it. It’s something between you and God alone.

Another great example is being born again. You know you’re born again, not by going to church or receiving a prophecy, but it’s by the witness, record and evidence you get by the Holy Spirit within you.

“We know that we have passed over out of death into Life by the fact that we love the brethren (our fellow Christians). He who does not love abides (remains, is held and kept continually) in [spiritual] death.”

It’s a knowing thing within you and it has nothing to do with how you feeling outwardly.

Remember: God will also lead you by His Spirit through inward witness.

Follow the inward witness!
