Bible Study Plan 2020

Today we read:
2 Thessalonians 1-3

-Food for thought 2020 day 24-

Scripture of meditation:
• Philippians 4:8

It is expedient that you understand you are responsible for your own thoughts. How you think will determine your response to God.

For this reason the Word of God says:

“Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you learned from me, what you heard and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most excellent harmonies.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4:8-9‬ ‭MSG‬‬

When your mind is filled with God’s thoughts, you can now say “I have the mind of Christ”. Therefore, having the mind of Christ makes it easy to be led by the Spirit of God.

“For who has known or understood the mind (the counsels and purposes) of the Lord so as to guide and instruct Him and give Him knowledge? But we have the mind of Christ (the Messiah) and do hold the thoughts (feelings and purposes) of His heart. [Isa. 40:13.]”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭2:16‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

That is why you must not give place to the devil in your thought life, by thinking and acting contrary to God’s Word.

“When angry, do not sin; do not ever let your wrath (your exasperation, your fury or indignation) last until the sun goes down. Leave no [such] room or foothold for the devil [give no opportunity to him].”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4:26-27‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Remember: you must bring your mind under discipline, for you to be led by the Holy Spirit.

Be disciplined in your thought life!

Many blessings in Jesus’ Name.

Think and Act!!!
