Bible Study Plan 2020

Today we read:
1 Thessalonians 3-5

-Food for thought 2020 day 23-

Scripture of meditation:
• 1 Peter 1:13

It’s our duty to encircle our mental powers with the Word of God.

“So brace up your minds; be sober (circumspect, morally alert); set your hope wholly and unchangeably on the grace (divine favor) that is coming to you when Jesus Christ (the Messiah) is revealed.”
‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭1:13‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

We must learn to saturate our minds and set it on God’s Word.

“For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will imprint My laws upon their minds, even upon their innermost thoughts and understanding, and engrave them upon their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭8:10‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

When our minds are fixed on God’s Word, it will be easy to be let by the Spirit, because it will give us the ability to bring into captivity thoughts that are not in line with God’s Word.

“For though we walk (live) in the flesh, we are not carrying on our warfare according to the flesh and using mere human weapons. For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds, [Inasmuch as we] refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One),”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭10:3-5‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Remember: taking thoughts captive that are contrary to God’s Word, is also being led by the Holy Spirit.

Fix your mind on God’s Word!

Many blessings in Jesus’ Name.
