-Food for thought 2020 day 114-

Scripture of meditation:
• 1 Corinthians 16:9

God uses circumstances to open or close doors in your life. In other words, it’s also a method of God’s communication to man.

Paul wrote to the Corinthians:

“There is a real opportunity here for great and worthwhile work, even though there are many opponents.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭16:9‬ ‭GNB‬‬

Paul was not supposed to stay in Ephesus, but due to the need (circumstances) of the people at the moment, he saw it as a great opportunity for Christian service open to him in that city. He saw it as God’s arrangement for an open door.

Paul also records his desire to minister in certain areas, but the doors there were closed.

For example, the Word of God says:

“They travelled through the region of Phrygia and Galatia because the Holy Spirit did not let them preach the message in the province of Asia. When they reached the border of Mysia, they tried to go into the province of Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus did not allow them.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭16:6-7‬ ‭GNB‬‬

A closed-door does not mean you missed God’s will. It does not mean it’s not His will to do something. Paul later evangelized in Asia. God directed Paul by a closed door.

Thus, God leads through a closed and an open door as well. A door can be closed because it’s not the right timing in the plan of God. Later, that same door may open to you for God’s glory. Paul experienced the same.

That is why all things work together for the good for them that love God and who are called according to His purpose.

Remember: God also communicates to you, through a closed and open door.

Relook your circumstances and you will hear God’s voice.

Many Blessings in Jesus’ Name.
