Scripture of meditation:
• Hosea 6:5

It always pleases the Holy Spirit when we function as an interdependent towards one another under the leadership of God’s earthly spiritual board of trustees; the fivefold ministry (Ephesians 4:11-16).

When you practice listening to the counsel of these trustees and practicing what you’re taught, then you’re under the leadings of the Holy Spirit.

“But some who believed [who acknowledged Jesus as their Savior and devoted themselves to Him] belonged to the sect of the Pharisees, and they rose up and said, It is necessary to circumcise [the Gentile converts] and to charge them to obey the Law of Moses. The apostles and the elders were assembled together to look into and consider this matter. And after there had been a long debate, Peter got up and said to them, Brethren, you know that quite a while ago God made a choice or selection from among you, that by my mouth the Gentiles should hear the message of the Gospel [concerning the attainment through Christ of salvation in the kingdom of God] and believe (credit and place their confidence in it). And God, Who is acquainted with and understands the heart, bore witness to them, giving them the Holy Spirit as He also did to us; And He made no difference between us and them, but cleansed their hearts by faith (by a strong and welcome conviction that Jesus is the Messiah, through Whom we obtain eternal salvation in the kingdom of God). Now then, why do you try to test God by putting a yoke on the necks of the disciples, such as neither our forefathers nor we [ourselves] were able to endure? But we believe that we are saved through the grace (the undeserved favor and mercy) of the Lord Jesus, just as they [are]. Then the whole assembly remained silent, and they listened [attentively] as Barnabas and Paul rehearsed what signs and wonders God had performed through them among the Gentiles.”

If you notice in Acts 15:28, the Spirit testifies with the counsel of the fivefold ministry of their decision made about the gentile believers in Christ. Please read Acts 15:5–35.

The question is: if their counsel was irrelevant, why should the Holy Spirit bear witness with their spirits?

“The Holy Spirit and we have agreed not to put any other burden on you besides these necessary rules:”

That’s is why in the multitude of counsel there is safety. What God wants from us is always plain and clear.

“That is why I have sent my prophets to you with my message of judgement and destruction. What I want from you is plain and clear:”
‭‭Hosea‬ ‭6:5‬ ‭GNB‬‬

That is why He uses the fivefold ministry as His providence for guidance with Jesus Christ as the Head of His Church through the help of the Holy Spirit.

Remember: God will never bypass the fivefold ministry to minister to His Church.

All that want to be led by God’s Spirit must come under God’s governing council of His fivefold ministry.
