SO, SINCE Christ suffered in the flesh for us, for you, arm yourselves with the same thought and purpose [patiently to suffer rather than fail to please God]. For whoever has suffered in the flesh
[having the mind of Christ] is done with [intentional] sin [has stopped pleasing himself and the world, and pleases God], So that he can no longer spend the rest of his natural life living by [his] human
appetites and desires, but [he lives] for what God wills.” ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭4:1-2‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

The Bible says we should arm ourselves with the same thought and purpose. In other words The Holy Spirit is speaking through Peter to us . To make up our mind or set our mind not to have no fellowship with sin. Sometimes we hear people say it just happened or the devil made me do it . Is a lie. It’s the choice we made. The devil can’t overcome a child of God without his or her permission.

Do you not know that if you continually surrender yourselves to anyone to do his will, you are the slaves of him whom you obey, whether that be to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience which
leads to righteousness (right doing and right standing with God)?” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭6:16‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

All has todo with our daily choice. As believers in Christ we must daily set our mind to fulfill God’s will for our lives irrespective of the persecution.

Remember as an army attack or persecution does not mean defeat. Our response to the persecution or attacks or temptation will determine our victory. That’s is why we must daily arm ourselves with the mind of Christ to function in absolute victory.

Let this same attitude and purpose and [humble] mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus: [Let Him be your example in humility:] Who, although being essentially one with God and in the form of God [possessing the fullness of the attributes which make God God], did not think this equality with God was a thing to be eagerly grasped or retained, But stripped Himself [of all privileges and rightful dignity], so as to assume the guise of a servant (slave), in that He became like men and was born a human being. And after He had appeared in human form, He abased and humbled Himself [still further] and carried His obedience to the extreme of death, even the death of the cross!” ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2:5-8‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Arise army of God and wage war against the enemy of your soul the devil or Satan. Give no place for him in your life in Jesus name.

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father I thank you for your word. I bind the power of Satan against my mind in Jesus name. Amen
