Today we read:
1 Samuel 29-30

• 1 Thessalonians 5:11
• Ephesians 4:15-16

Love is a master builder. You can’t build anyone when you spend time talking down on the same person you’re helping to stand. This is the reason why many people get discouraged along the way and give up.

“For God has not appointed us to [incur His] wrath [He did not select us to condemn us], but [that we might] obtain [His] salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) Who died for us so that whether we are still alive or are dead [at Christ’s appearing], we might live together with Him and share His life. Therefore encourage (admonish, exhort) one another and edify (strengthen and build up) one another, just as you are doing.”
‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:9-11‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

That is why criticizing one another and capitalizing on one another’s fault will only give birth to discouragement. In this way people will never be motivated to carry on in the faith because they feel condemned. We must practice encouraging one another unto good works, not by spending time condemning one another due to their mistakes or shortcomings.

The five-fold ministry is God’s providence for His church, so that we all may grow up in maturity in love. Without God’s Love, it’s very difficult to build.

“Rather, let our lives lovingly express truth [in all things, speaking truly, dealing truly, living truly]. Enfolded in love, let us grow up in every way and in all things into Him Who is the Head, [even] Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One). For because of Him the whole body (the church, in all its various parts), closely joined and firmly knit together by the joints and ligaments with which it is supplied, when each part [with power adapted to its need] is working properly [in all its functions], grows to full maturity, building itself up in love.”

The absence of God’s Love in any building program will cause the whole project to collapse.

God is calling us to motivate one another unto good works and not discouragement. We are here to help one another stand and not break each other.

Remember, the Love of God is a builder of broken vessels and not a breaker.

This day choose to be a builder.
