Bible Study Plan 2019

Today we read:
1 Samuel 26-28

-Food for thought day 150-

• Genesis 2:16-17
• Genesis 3:1-3

Love has its boundaries. A boundary is a line which marks the limit of an area or is a dividing. These boundaries help us not to get ourselves involved in casualties.

For example: “And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, You may freely eat of every tree of the garden; But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and blessing and calamity you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭2:16-17‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

The reason being is that God never intended for man to experience evil, for He knew that evil was in the world. The author of this evil is satan. God set this boundaries because of the Love He had for Adam and Eve.

When Adam and Eve rebelled they were spiritually separated from The Author of life and therefore spiritually united to the author of spiritual death (Satan).

God sets boundaries of His Love for us so that we should not hurt ourselves and also for the devil not to take advantage of us.

That is why He gave us the scriptures to help us see the boundaries of His Love for us.
There are consequences to deal with when we go out of His Word.

When satan tempted Eve; though she knew the boundaries, she did not really have the full understanding of the weight of the a consequences. That is why she yielded to his deception.

“NOW THE serpent was more subtle and crafty than any living creature of the field which the Lord God had made. And he [Satan] said to the woman, Can it really be that God has said, You shall not eat from every tree of the garden? [Rev. 12:9-11.] And the woman said to the serpent, We may eat the fruit from the trees of the garden, Except the fruit from the tree which is in the middle of the garden. God has said, You shall not eat of it, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭3:1-3‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Thus, Eve was not ignorant of the boundaries, but she had little understanding of the weight of the consequences.

You must not only change because of consequences born out of rebellion, but you should learn to avoid the consequences by sticking to the boundaries of love.

God’s Love has its boundaries, it’s always wise to stick to it so that we don’t find ourselves wanting.

Remember, Love speaks the truth.

Many blessings in Jesus’ Name.
