-Food for thought day 263-

• ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:3-7‬
• Matthew 20:28

In this life, sometimes it’s difficult to set your own priorities aside for someone else’s. Naturally speaking everybody always want to portray themselves. That is why Jesus came to introduce the way of God and God’s way of love. The Love of God considers the needs of others more pressing than the needs of self. It derives satisfaction when needs are met.

“If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don’t love, I’ve gotten nowhere. So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I’m bankrupt without love. Love never gives up. Love cares more for others than for self. Love doesn’t want what it doesn’t have. Love doesn’t strut, Doesn’t have a swelled head, Doesn’t force itself on others, Isn’t always “me first,” Doesn’t fly off the handle, Doesn’t keep score of the sins of others, Doesn’t revel when others grovel, Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth, Puts up with anything, Trusts God always, Always looks for the best, Never looks back, But keeps going to the end.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:3-7‬ ‭MSG‬‬

The Word of God says: “… love cares more for others than self…”

That is why Jesus came to minister and not to be ministered unto.

“Just as the Son of Man came not to be waited on but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many [the price paid to set them free].”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭20:28‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

As long as your own reputation still counts instead of Christ’s, you can never walk in God’s Love. This is the reason why Love does not seek its own way.

Remember: love seeks after the best interest of others first before its own.

Learn to consider others first!

Many blessings in Jesus’ Name.

Think and act!!!!!
