-Food for thought day 170-

• Lamentations‬ ‭3:22-23‬
• Philippians 2:5

We as believers in Christ are expected to be single-minded when it comes to walking in love.

The Word of God says: “The Steadfast Love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.”
‭‭Lamentations‬ ‭3:22-23‬ ‭ESV

Another meaning of the word steadfast is: “to be single-minded”. The reason why many people are still double-minded in life: the lack of the Love of God or not having any understanding of it.

When Jesus Christ came on earth, He made up His mind to function in love, irrespective of how people would respond to Him or treat Him. He was prepared and ready to face anything in love, that would come against Him. He had no other option. He came to the world because of love. Therefore, He was single-minded.

When He gave us His Love through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in us (Romans 5:5), His expectation for us is to act and think likewise.

That’s why the Word of God says: “Let this same attitude and purpose and [humble] mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus: [Let Him be your example in humility:]”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2:5‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

It’s our duty to allow Christ’s mind of love to dominate us since we’re not living for ourselves anymore, but for Him.

Instability in walking in God’s Love towards others and fellow believers is a sign of double-mindedness (James 1:8).

Are you a double-minded person?

Remember: God’s Love is single-minded and that’s what makes it steadfast.

Many blessings in Jesus’ Name.

Think and Act!!!!!
