Be still and rest in the Lord; wait for Him and patiently lean yourself upon Him; fret not yourself because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked devices to pass.” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭37:7‬ ‭AMPC‬

Being patient is a fruit produced by the Holy Spirit as we yield our entire being to Him. And waiting trains us to be patient. When our faith in God is tried patient is produced. Maturity in God is born out of patient due to the fact that patient qualifies us to obtain the price of the race of faith that we are running in Christ.

Consider it wholly joyful, my brethren, whenever you are enveloped in or encounter trials of any sort or fall into various temptations. Be assured and understand that the trial and proving of your faith bring out endurance and steadfastness and patience. But let endurance and steadfastness and patience have full play and do a thorough work, so that you may be [people] perfectly and fully developed [with no defects], lacking in nothing.” ‭‭James‬ ‭1:2-4‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

The fruit of patient is always needed for us to fulfill our mandate in God.

This is the reason why the race of faith is not in a hurry but must be ran patiently for us to obtain the price. It seems naturally like waiting on God is unfruitful and slow process but in the Spirit as long as your eyes and heart is fixed on God you will accomplish much . For this reason the race is not of the swift naturally speaking but time and chance as grace by God is what counts.

THEREFORE THEN, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who have borne testimony to the Truth], let us strip off and throw aside every encumbrance (unnecessary weight) and that sin which so readily (deftly and cleverly) clings to and entangles us, and let us run with patient endurance and steady and active persistence the appointed course of the race that is set before us, Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]. He, for the joy [of obtaining the prize] that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising and ignoring the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God. [Ps. 110:1.]” Hebrews‬ ‭12:1-2‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Today as you wait, know deep in you that God is producing one of His precious fruit of the Spirit called “ patient” to enable you obtain your price in Christ as you walk in the faith of God.

Let’s pray together: Heavenly Father thank You for Your Word. As I wait in You Help me obtain the prize You have for me in Christ in Jesus name. Amen
