And if you call upon Him as [your] Father Who judges each one impartially according to what he does, [then] you should conduct yourselves with true reverence throughout the time of your temporary residence [on the earth, whether long or short]. You must know (recognize) that you were redeemed (ransomed) from the useless (fruitless) way of living inherited by tradition from [your] forefathers, not with corruptible things [such as] silver and gold, But [you were purchased] with the precious blood of Christ (the Messiah), like that of a [sacrificial] lamb without blemish or spot.” 1 Peter 1:17-19 AMPC

We should never take the blood of Jesus Christ for granted. It’s only a dog that goes back to its vomit. The blood of Jesus Christ has delivered us from dead works and the power of satan. It’s up to us to live our life base on our new identity in Christ and we should refuse to live according to our past life.

The bible admonished us to walk in the newness of life. And as children of the most High God we should do just that.

We were buried therefore with Him by the baptism into death, so that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious [power] of the Father, so we too might [habitually] live and behave in newness of life.” Romans 6:4 AMPC
