But if we [really] are living and walking in the Light, as He [Himself] is in the Light, we have [true, unbroken] fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses (removes) us from all sin and guilt [keeps us cleansed from sin in all its forms and manifestations].” 1 John 1:7 AMPC

The blood of Jesus works powerfully when we walk in love and as we practice God’s word in communion with one another.

The duty of the devil is to sow a seed of division among believers that we won’t practice God’s word by staying in communion with each other and God’s word.

The light in this text is God’s word. As we think about it and practice what it says the cleansing power of God’s  blood washes our faults or mistakes made when we were still very ignorant of the truth of God’s Word.

There it was–the true Light [was then] coming into the world [the genuine, perfect, steadfast Light] that illumines every person. [Isa. 49:6.] John 1:9 AMPC

It’s about time we choose to stay in fellowship with one another and God’s word. That’s how God Almighty washes us from our ignorant sins.

MY LITTLE children, I write you these things so that you may not violate God’s law and sin. But if anyone should sin, we have an Advocate (One Who will intercede for us) with the Father–[it is] Jesus Christ [the all] righteous [upright, just, Who conforms to the Father’s will in every purpose, thought, and action]. And He [that same Jesus Himself] is the propitiation (the atoning sacrifice) for our sins, and not for ours alone but also for [the sins of] the whole world.”1 John 2:1-2 AMPC
