THEN ELISHA said, Hear the word of the Lord. Thus says the Lord: Tomorrow about this time a measure of fine flour will sell for a shekel and two measures of barley for a shekel in the gate of Samaria! Then the captain on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God and said, If the Lord should make windows in heaven, could this thing be? But Elisha said, You shall see it with your own eyes, but you shall not eat of it.”
‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭7:1-2‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

The reason why the captain’s confession is because he magnified the challenge of the nation more than God’s Word. The devil always uses our circumstances to change our view of God. Elisha’s prophecy came so that the nation can connect to God’s Almightiness and His supernaturalism. It also came to give them a new picture about their circumstances. For what you can’t see you will never receive it. Many have limited God due to their inability to see what God sees.

These people all died controlled and sustained by their faith, but not having received the tangible fulfillment of [God’s] promises, only having seen it and greeted it from a great distance by faith, and all the while acknowledging and confessing that they were strangers and temporary residents and exiles upon the earth. [Gen. 23:4; Ps. 39:12.]”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11:13‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

The only reason why the saints of old received the promises is because they saw the promises as a fact from a distance and did embrace it as a reality.

I strongly believe that unbelief was the only reason that disqualified the captain from partaking in his nations harvest.

Today only believe, refuse to doubt for all things are possible to him that is believing.

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father thank you for supernatural provision in Jesus name. Amen.
