Jabez was honorable above his brothers; but his mother named him Jabez [sorrow maker], saying, Because I bore him in pain. Jabez cried to the God of Israel, saying, Oh, that You would bless me and enlarge my border, and that Your hand might be with me, and You would keep me from evil so it might not hurt me! And God granted his request.”
‭‭1 Chronicles‬ ‭4:9-10‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

We are not responsible for our welfare. It is difficult for God to help someone that does not want change. Change only comes to those who admit their weaknesses and wants God’s intervention in their lives.

Jabez could only break out by first admitting his situation as a looser. When Jabez said “ enlarge my coast” he was saying God should change him from a looser into the champion he has called him to be.

It is God’s will for all to succeed or be a success, but the spirit of success only manifest in the lives of those who wholly surrender to God’s plan and purpose for their lives. God’s mind concerning us never change but we are the ones that must realign our thinking to God’s plan and purpose for our lives by renewing our mind with God’s Word.

In other for Jabez to succeed he had to realigned his will into God’s. For this reason he had to surrender by admitting he is unable to change his condition by his ability and choose to employ God’s helping hand.

If we are faithless [do not believe and are untrue to Him], He remains true (faithful to His Word and His righteous character), for He cannot deny Himself.”
‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭2:13‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Today surrender your mind to God’s Word and cast your care to Him knowing He is faithful to perform what He has promised.

Know, recognize, and understand therefore that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God, Who keeps covenant and steadfast love and mercy with those who love Him and keep His commandments, to a thousand generations,”
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭7:9‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father thank You for Your Word. I trust in Your faithfulness as concerns my circumstances for You are a covenant Keeping God in Jesus name. Amen
