NOW THE wife of a son of the prophets cried to Elisha, Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the Lord. But the creditor has come to take my two sons to be his slaves. Elisha said to her, What shall I do for you? Tell me, what have you [of sale value] in the house? She said, Your handmaid has nothing in the house except a jar of oil. Then he said, Go around and borrow vessels from all your neighbors, empty vessels–and not a few. And when you come in, shut the door upon you and your sons. Then pour out [the oil you have] into all those vessels, setting aside each one when it is full. So she went from him and shut the door upon herself and her sons, who brought to her the vessels as she poured the oil. When the vessels were all full, she said to her son, Bring me another vessel. And he said to her, There is not a one left. Then the oil stopped multiplying. Then she came and told the man of God. He said, Go, sell the oil and pay your debt, and you and your sons live on the rest.” ‭‭2 Kings‬ ‭4:1-7‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

We are not responsible for our own living. We must not wait till things get out of hand before we call upon the Lord. Crisis is something small that was neglected or tolerated that turned out to be worse.

Most of the time our circumstances is as a result of something small that was neglected. Sometimes we even believe in the lie of the devil by saying the Lord understands. The good news is anything that does not give glory to God is of the devil. Debt doesn’t give glory to God. I believe this lady and the husband were living in a lie and when the situation get off hand she called upon God Almighty. Her story looks like some of us in our walk with God. After we have lean on our understanding and we fail in achieving our goal then we turn to the Lord for solution. We most of the time limit God due to our mental attitude .

God Almighty is ever ready to meet our needs with His full supply according to His riches in His glory by Christ Jesus not according to our human standard.

And my God will liberally supply (fill to the full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” Philippians‬ ‭4:19‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Today no matter how small that need maybe God wants to meet it with His full supply. Don’t wait till the situation is gone out of hand. Call now and surely you will not be put to shame.

Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, fenced in and hidden, which you do not know (do not distinguish and recognize, have knowledge of and understand).” Jeremiah‬ ‭33:3‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

David understood God’s full supply and said:

THE Lord is my Shepherd [to feed, guide, and shield me], I shall not lack.” Psalm‬ ‭23:1‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father thank You for Your divine supply and intervention as concerns my needs (mention the needs) in Jesus name. Amen.
