He must increase, but I must decrease. [He must grow more prominent; I must grow less so.] [Isa. 9:7.]” John 3:30 AMP

John said “He must increase but I must decrease”.

Submitting is something that you do yourself, recognizing your place and authority of God over your life. When John the Baptist heard of what Jesus Christ was doing he did not try to compete with Him or criticize Him, he recognized who Jesus Christ is and choose to submit.

For us to know who God Almighty is, we must learn to crucify our flesh daily and forget about what we think we know in order to learn who God Almighty is.

God Almighty wants to show Himself more through us as a church and as individual, but we must learn the power of submission in order for the world to see more of God in us.

Yes, furthermore, I count everything as loss compared to the possession of the priceless privilege (the overwhelming preciousness, the surpassing worth, and supreme advantage) of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord and of progressively becoming more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him [of perceiving and recognizing and understanding Him more fully and clearly]. For His sake I have lost everything and consider it all to be mere rubbish (refuse, dregs), in order that I may win (gain) Christ (the Anointed One),” Philippians 3:8 AMP

So for us to know Jesus Christ more in our lives, or for Jesus to increase more in our lives, we must choose to forget what we think we know in order for us to know who He really is to us. He must increase in us in all things and we must decrease in our own ways (fleshly appetites) in all things. So that the world will no more see us, but will recognise Jesus Christ at work in us. We can only attain this place through the help of the Holy Spirit by submitting ourselves to God Almighty in Jesus Christ mighty Name.

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your Word. I must decrease in all things and may you increase in my life in every aspect in Jesus Christ mighty name. Amen.
