For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.” Mark 10:45 KJV

Jesus Christ came on earth to serve our needs and also to teach us to be servants. A servant is someone who is under authority and also follows instructions. A servant does not go to any place unsent.

Now every true servant of God is someone who submits to God. Furthermore we can’t say we submit to God when we don’t submit to one another and also the authority that is placed above us.

Jesus Christ our Master demonstrates to us His servanthood by washing the feet of His disciples and dying a criminal dead on our behalf.

He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself. After that he poureth water into a basin, and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded. So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you? Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him. If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.” John 13:4-7 KJV

So God Almighty expect us to follow the footsteps of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father I thank You for Your word. Help me develop the attitude of a servant, by serving your purpose in the lives of others in Jesus Christ mighty Name. Amen.
