Preach the word; …” 2 Timothy 4:2 KJV
Paul told Timothy to preach the word. In other words, Paul was telling him to do the work of an Evangelist.
To preach means to proclaim or anounce something. In this case it is to tell someone about Jesus Christ our Lord.
Now the preaching of the word call the gospel is not just a commission given to the Pastors or Evangelist, it is given to all the disciples of Jesus Christ our Lord.
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.” Mark 16:15-16 KJV
Jesus gave this commission to all His disciples: To declare the good news: That He is alive and died for the sins of the world. We all have been called to preach.
Today, let someone know Jesus Christ paid the price for him to have peace. It’s time to preach.
