And Jabez was more honourable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow. And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.” ‭‭1 Chronicles‬ ‭4:9-10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jabez could never receive what God has for him without first of all beholding the invisible of God’s promised answer to his prayer.

It was God’s Word that brought deliverance to the children of Israel out from Egypt.

All the commandments which I command thee this day shall ye observe to do, that ye may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which the Lord sware unto your fathers. And thou shalt remember all the way which the Lord thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no. And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live.”

The Word of God is Spirit and is life. It carries creative ability and the ability to give life to anything that is dead. For this reason we must not receive it as another written letter but it must be received as Living Word or alive  having the power and ability to produce results by itself.

The reason why Abraham did not stagger at the promises of God is because he believes God will do what He has promised.

God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” Numbers‬ ‭23:19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

God’s Word is His authority over our lives and circumstances. Let us hold fast to God’s Word trusting and depending on it. And it will make good in our lives that which is not in order.
