And when the servant of the man of God arose early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?” So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” And Elisha prayed, and said, “ Lord , I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the Lord  opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.” II Kings 6:15-17

The problems we face in life, is due to our inability to allow God Almighty to be the Lord over our lives. Many have embraced Jesus Christ as their Savior, but refuse to accept Him as their Lord. As long as you are not going to allow Him to be your Lord, that is to be in charge over all things in your life, then you are in for a defeat.

God never needs what you think you know for Him to accomplish His purpose for your life. As a matter of fact He is not and will never depend on your ability. All what is required is your willingness to cooperate with His plan for your life. And He will work out His plan all alone by Himself in your life. For example; for food to come to your mouth there must be a cooperation between the spoon and you. So are we to God Almighty in Jesus name.

Verse 16 of the above text points us to the servant of Elisha how the spirit of fear took him over while  surrounded by enemies. These enemies can be challenges in your life, that causes you to give up because you’re confused.

There is something that the servant of Elisha did, which we all must learn from. In verse 15 of our main text we saw him surrendering to his master for solution. If only we can acknowledge our inability before God Almighty and accept His All comprehensive ability we will see turn arounds in hopeless cases.

Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God” II Corinthians 3:5

Thank You, Jesus Christ, for Your Word.

Let’s pray together and confess with me out loud:

Heavenly Father,

I thank You for letting me know that I am not on my own. Forgive me for accepting Jesus as my Savior, but refusing to let Him be my Lord over my life. Thank You that the Blood of Jesus is crying out better things on my behalf! Today, I bind and rebuke every spirit of confusion and fear that has attacked me in Jesus name. And I speak soundness of mind and order in my life. I cease to struggle and do things on my own in Jesus name. Amen.
