And they had a few small fish; and when He had praised God and given thanks and asked Him to bless them [to their use], He ordered that these also should be set before [them]. And they ate and were satisfied; and they took up seven [large provision] baskets full of the broken pieces left over.” Mark 8:7-8 AMP

Our Lord Jesus Christ did not complain of the amount of loaves of bread and two fishes. He did not say it is not sufficient. The first thing He did was to praise God Almighty and give thanks.

If only we start praising and thanking God Almighty for what we have and start appreciating Him for given them (the things we have) to us. It is our first step of inviting God’s hand to multiply or increase the resources which He gave to us.The second thing our master Jesus Christ (the Messiah or the Anointed one) did is, He asked God Almighty to bless what He has in Hand. That was the same thing God Almighty did to man in Genesis 1: 28 and also to Jabez.

And God blessed them and said to them: Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it [using all its vast resources in the service of God and man]; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and over every living creature that moves upon the earth.” Genesis 1:28 AMP

Jabez cried to the God of Israel, saying, Oh, that You would bless me and enlarge my border, and that Your hand might be with me, and You would keep me from evil so it might not hurt me! And God granted his request.” 1 Chronicles 4:10 AMP

So we can see that it was due to God’s blessings on Adam and Eve and Jabez that gave them the ability to multiply or increase.

Furthermore, God Almighty wants us to practice the same with the things we have available for us now. For He wants to increase us spiritually, materially and health wise and financially.

He wants us to praise and thank Him for what we have now and to ask Him to bless the things we have in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.  Whenever we practice these things with our whole heart in Jesus name, God Almighty will release the anointing of increase and abundance in all things patterning to godliness in this life and that which is to come on our lives and cause us to be satisfied.

Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your Word. I praise and thank You for the things you’ve given to me. And I asked that You bless the things I have in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
