And to keep me from being puffed up and too much elated by the exceeding greatness (preeminence) of these revelations, there was given me a thorn (a splinter) in the flesh, a messenger of Satan, to rack and buffet and harass me, to keep me from being excessively exalted. [Job. 2:6.] Three times I called upon the Lord and besought [Him] about this and begged that it might depart from me; But He said to me, My grace (My favor and loving-kindness and mercy) is enough for you [sufficient against any danger and enables you to bear the trouble manfully]; for My strength and power are made perfect (fulfilled and completed) and show themselves most effective in [your] weakness. Therefore, I will all the more gladly glory in my weaknesses and infirmities, that the strength and power of Christ (the Messiah) may rest (yes, may pitch a tent over and dwell) upon me! So for the sake of Christ, I am well pleased and take pleasure in infirmities, insults, hardships, persecutions, perplexities and distresses; for when I am weak [in human strength], then am I [truly] strong (able, powerful in divine strength).” 2 Corinthians 12:7-10 AMP

In intimacy with our Lord Jesus Christ our weaknesses allows the resurrection power to strengthen us moment by moment. When we look at ourselves we see our inability, incapability of fulfilling our call in Christ. But when we look at Jesus Christ we see in Him our solution for fulfilling the call through the working of the Holy Spirit in us. But this can only be achieved in intimacy due to the fact that He (God Almighty ) takes our weaknesses and gives us His strength to fulfill the called.

Not that we are fit (qualified and sufficient in ability) of ourselves to form personal judgments or to claim or count anything as coming from us, but our power and ability and sufficiency are from God. [It is He] Who has qualified us [making us to be fit and worthy and sufficient] as ministers and dispensers of a new covenant [of salvation through Christ], not [ministers] of the letter (of legally written code) but of the Spirit; for the code [of the Law] kills, but the [Holy] Spirit makes alive. [Jer. 31:31.]” 2 Corinthians 3:5-6 AMP

This gives us an assurance to say we are strong in Jesus Christ because He has become our strength.

Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruning hooks into spears; let the weak say, I am strong [a warrior]! [Isa. 2:4; Mic. 4:3.]” Joel 3:10 AMP

Intimacy with Jesus Christ will breath supernatural strength in our lives.

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father I thank You for Your word. Strengthen me by Your Spirit in my inner man in intimacy with You in Jesus Christ mighty name. Amen.
