You shall serve the Lord your God; He shall bless your bread and water, and I will take sickness from your midst. None shall lose her young by miscarriage or be barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days.” Exodus‬ ‭23:25-26‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Our text tells us serving the Lord will cause the blessing to be released. But how do we serve Him?

Answer:

For God is my witness, Whom I serve with my [whole] spirit [rendering priestly and spiritual service] in [preaching] the Gospel and [telling] the good news of His Son, how incessantly I always mention
you when at my prayers.” Romans‬ ‭1:9‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

We serve Him with our spirit with the Help of the Holy Spirit . The easiest way to serve Him is by practicing the Word. That is how you serve the Lord.

So get rid of all uncleanness and the rampant outgrowth of wickedness, and in a humble (gentle, modest) spirit receive and welcome the Word which implanted and rooted [in your hearts] contains
the power to save your souls. But be doers of the Word [obey the message], and not merely listeners to it, betraying yourselves [into deception by reasoning contrary to the Truth]. For if anyone only listens to the Word without obeying it and being a doer of it, he is like a man who looks carefully at his [own] natural face in a mirror; For he thoughtfully observes himself, and then goes off and promptly forgets what he was like. But he who looks carefully into the faultless law, the [law] of liberty, and is faithful to it and perseveres in looking into it, being not a heedless listener who forgets but an active doer [who obeys], he shall be blessed in his doing (his life of obedience).” ‭‭James‬ ‭1:21-25‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Therefore ,whenever we hear the word and practice what it says. We are serving the Lord. It’s in the serving of the Lord that we are blessed.

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father help me by Your Spirit to always serve You in Jesus name. Amen
