But about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns unto God, and the prisoners were listening to them;” Acts‬ ‭16:25‬ ‭ASV‬‬

Praise and worship set loose the blessings of God that is at work in us to work through us and causes the powers of darkness that are against us to break their hold. That’s why whenever you feel heavy or troubled, praise God. Paul and Silas prayed and praise God in their affliction and their chain were loose.

But about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns unto God, and the prisoners were listening to them; and suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison-house were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened; and every one’s bands were loosed.” ‭‭Acts‬ ‭16:25-26‬ ‭ASV‬‬

The presence of God (Holy Spirit) that was in them was released through them as they praise God and that presence made them free from the physical bonds of Satan.

We should all learn from this text that, irrespective of what is going on in our lives, God still wants to use us in the midst of every storm to defeat the devil. He is with us and lives in us and works through us. We should always be mindful of this truth. And also know that the God that lives in us is greater and bigger than any storm or circumstances we find ourselves in.

Ye are of God, my little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world.” ‭‭1 John‬ ‭4:4‬ ‭ASV‬‬

That’s why we must learn to magnify the God in us who is the blessing more than magnifying our circumstances. That is what Paul and Silas did. As we practice this in our daily living the greater one in us will always put us over and cause us to always be a blessing in this world.

God wants us praise and worship Him always not sometime. Today make magnifying the bigness of your God instead of your challenges. Praise what He has done and thank Him in advance for what He will or is going to do in, through and with your life.

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father thank You for letting me know that the blessing of God in me cannot be choked because of my circumstances, but I must learn to release it through prayer and praise. This day I cast my battles on You and praise and celebrate the victory in Jesus name. Amen
