And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭6:9‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

In securing your blessings in Christ you must make up your mind not to be weary in the process of being faithful or committed to the task God is given to you.

One of the secrets of Jesus in defeating the devil is that He made up His mind before He embark on the journey of redemption on our behalf.

Hence, when He [Christ] entered into the world, He said, Sacrifices and offerings You have not desired, but instead You have made ready a body for Me [to offer]; In burnt offerings and sin offerings You have taken no delight. Then I said, Behold, here I am, coming to do Your will, O God–[to fulfill] what is written of Me in the volume of the Book. [Ps. 40:6-8.]” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭10:5-7‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Jesus Christ knew that the one of the strategy of Satan is to get Him weary so that He will not fulfill God’s mandate for His life by becoming a blessing to us. So the enemy uses people and our personal challenges to get us weary and faint in our minds. That is why we must learn in whatever situation we find ourselves in,to gird the loins of our mind with the belt of truth. The belt of truth is God’s word.

Esau forfeited the blessing because he fainted in his mind. He unloose the word of God spoken to him by Isaac his father. So he loose the blessing. Another thing Esau started well but He ended wrongly or he did not finish well(Genesis 25:29-34 and Genesis 27:1-36 please read). So we can all learn from Esau. As a matter of fact base on God’s Word, it is not how you start a thing but is how you finish that qualifies you for the reward.

Stand therefore [hold your ground], having tightened the belt of truth around your loins and having put on the breastplate of integrity and of moral rectitude and right standing with God,”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6:14‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

The last thing that a military officer puts on before he or she embarks for war is the belt.

Question is why the belt?

Answer: It holds the whole of his armor together.

Same with our mind. Our mind must be fixed on God’s word base on our circumstances or present challenges for us reap the fruits of our labor.

That’s why the Bible says put on the belt Truth which is the word of God.

Apostle Peter puts it this way:

So brace up your minds; be sober (circumspect, morally alert); set your hope wholly and unchangeably on the grace (divine favor) that is coming to you when Jesus Christ (the Messiah) is revealed.” ‭1 Peter‬ ‭1:13‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

In this journey of our walk with the Lord and also walking and being a blessing or receiving the reward we must first make up our mind to finish well with the help of the Holy Spirit before we begin.

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father thank you   for your Word. I refuse to be weary and faint in my mind by the power of the Holy Spirit in Jesus name. Amen.
