In order that you may not grow disinterested and become [spiritual] sluggards, but imitators, behaving as do those who through faith (by their leaning of the entire personality on God in Christ in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness) and by practice of patient endurance and waiting are [now] inheriting the promises.” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭6:12‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

As a child of God we must learn to be patient. Impatient has cause many to forfeit the blessing of God in their life. However, patient is a fruit that is produce by the Holy Spirit as we yield to Him. We can’t manufacture it is a fruit. That’s why is our duty to ask the Holy Spirit to produce it in us when we need it. Patience is a product of God not man.

But the fruit of the [Holy] Spirit [the work which His presence within accomplishes] is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness,”‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:22‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

A great example of being impatient was Esau. He gave up His blessings or birthright because he could not wait (Genesis 25:29-34). That’s why the book of James says:

Consider it wholly joyful, my brethren, whenever you are enveloped in or encounter trials of any sort or fall into various temptations. Be assured and understand that the trial and proving of your faith bring out endurance and steadfastness and patience. But let endurance and steadfastness and patience have full play and do a thorough work, so that you may be [people] perfectly and fully developed [with no defects], lacking in nothing.” ‭James‬ ‭1:2-4‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Many have given up in their trying time because they could not see that God was producing a fruit of patience in them. They have made a permanent decision base on a temporary situation. And later on they regretted because they found out they missed it.

Faith is good, but for us to see the blessings manifesting in our lives or to be a blessing, we need the fruit of patience.

Impatient is Satan tool to put you in a spiritually weakened state so that he can defeat you or help you loose the blessings. That’s is why we must learn to look unto Jesus Christ our Lord and also employ the services of the Holy Spirit within us to help us.

Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]. He, for the joy [of obtaining the prize] that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising and ignoring the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God. [Ps. 110:1.] Just think of Him Who endured from sinners such grievous opposition and bitter hostility against Himself [reckon up and consider it all in comparison with your trials], so that you may not grow weary or exhausted, losing heart and relaxing and fainting in your minds.” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭12:2-3‬ ‭AMPC‬

Jesus stayed focus on the reward not the trials. That’s why He was patient. He choose to endure the affliction and He refuse to be impatient and quit.

Let us all learn to be patient and refuse to quit for there’s a reward with our name tag on it.

Heavenly Father. I thank You for Your word. Help me by Your Spirit to produce patience in me so that, I will not miss or loose they blessings You have for me in Jesus name. Amen
