-Food for thought day 41-

• Matthew 25:13-29

God has given each and everyone of us a gift of solving problems. The most richest and valuable people on earth today are the ones that are solving problems for their community. Now, I am not saying everybody that is rich, is making their wealth by solving problems. Some do it by creating more problems and such people add no value to their community or municipality.

The question is are we an asset or liability to our community?

What is our added value to our municipality?

We all will be remembered for the problems we created and the ones we solved.

We should know the only reason we’re here on earth is to solve a problem for someone. We receive salary from our jobs because we are solving a problem for someone in the community or municipality.

A teacher imparts knowledge and gets rid of ignorance in the community. The teacher is solving a problem for the community based on his or her gift and receives wages for it. Likewise is with a believer who uses what God has put in him to help others.

The Word of God says: “And stay on in the same house, eating and drinking what they provide, for the laborer is worthy of his wages. Do not keep moving from house to house. Whenever you go into a town and they receive and accept and welcome you, eat what is set before you; And heal the sick in it and say to them, The kingdom of God has come close to you.”
‭‭
If you noticed, the provision of Jesus’s disciples, was linked to the problems they were solving for that community or municipality.

The Bible says: “… and heal the sick in it …”. That is problem solving. So not only did they benefit from the resources of the city but the city also benefited from their gifts.

If the teachers want more salary, they must improve themselves in quality, effectiveness and efficiency.

As believers in Christ, we must learn to do the same by yielding daily to the Giver of the gifts (Jesus Christ). Choose also to improve your knowledge in the gift by studying the Word of God in that area and watching at close range those that have gone ahead of us, who were or are walking in the same gifts we have.

For this reason Paul said: “THEREFORE BE imitators of God [copy Him and follow His example], as well-beloved children [imitate their father].”
‭‭
“PATTERN YOURSELVES after me [follow my example], as I imitate and follow Christ (the Messiah). I appreciate and commend you because you always remember me in everything and keep firm possession of the traditions (the substance of my instructions), just as I have [verbally] passed them on to you.”
‭‭
Our gifts are linked to our compassion in our community. Not everybody’s pain will move us, but there’s just a pain of someone that will always cause us to act irrespective of the cost attached to it. This person may not be directly related to us and it can be otherwise. However when we discover this uncommon compassion in us, we should yield to it and seek God’s wisdom in that area. Our compassion for people exposes the gifts God has put inside of us.

The Word of God says: “But his master answered him, You wicked and lazy and idle servant! Did you indeed know that I reap where I have not sowed and gather [grain] where I have not winnowed? Then you should have invested my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received what was my own with interest. So take the talent away from him and give it to the one who has the ten talents. For to everyone who has will more be given, and he will be furnished richly so that he will have an abundance; but from the one who does not have, even what he does have will be taken away.”
‭‭
The only reason the person with one talent earned up loosing what he had is because of unproductivity on his part. He refused to use his gift, thus ending up wanting and having nothing. And what he had, was taken from him and given to the one who choose to be productive by using what was given to him.

Therefore, superabundance locate people who are busy solving problems for others by exercising their gifts and having purpose within themselves to continually improve their knowledge in the direction of their gifts.

Do something with what you have!!!

Many blessings in Jesus’ Name.

Think and Act!!!!
