Today we read:
Ezekiel 1-4
Revelation 19-20

-Food for thought day 302-

• 2 Corinthians 6:14-18

The Bible says that walking in love is fulfilling the law. This doesn’t mean we should not be wise in dealing with people. God’s love is His instrument for change in people’s lives; He sets boundaries in His love to protect, produce fruits of the Spirit and bring deliverance to His children.

That is why the Word of God forbids and tolerates certain things.

“Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers [do not make mismated alliances with them or come under a different yoke with them, inconsistent with your faith]. For what partnership have right living and right standing with God with iniquity and lawlessness? Or how can light have fellowship with darkness? What harmony can there be between Christ and Belial [the devil]? Or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever? What agreement [can there be between] a temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God; even as God said, I will dwell in and with and among them and will walk in and with and among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. [Exod. 25:8; 29:45; Lev. 26:12; Jer. 31:1; Ezek. 37:27.] So, come out from among [unbelievers], and separate (sever) yourselves from them, says the Lord, and touch not [any] unclean thing; then I will receive you kindly and treat you with favor, [Isa. 52:11.] And I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty. [Isa. 43:6; Hos. 1:10.]”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭6:14-18‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

This is an example of how God expresses His love to us. For He knows, letting us do what we think is right, will give us room for satan to take advantage of us.

Most believers that end up drifting away from God’s plan for their lives are yoked with the wrong crowd or people. People that don’t encourage what you do or believe the same as you can easily sway from God. That is why you must always move with those who think and believe like you.

In the book of Ezra 10-11, the children of Israel defiled themselves by marrying strange wives. They ended up separating themselves from them because it hampered their relationship with God. It’s a painful thing to read such scriptures in the Bible, but you can also see God’s love protecting His people and their future generations from destruction and defilement.

Therefore, the boundaries God set in His love for us is for our good. We must learn to do the same when it comes to dealing with people for our own safety and for the sake of many others.

Remember: Love has boundaries to help you be a partaker of God’s Holiness.

Learn to function within the boundaries of God’s love!

Many blessings in Jesus’ Name.

Think and act!!!!
