I Peter 1-3

-Food for thought day 286-

• Philippians 3:13-14

True love consistently moves forward. You can’t walk in love when you constantly remind yourself of the evil that is done to you.

“I do not consider, brethren, that I have captured and made it my own [yet]; but one thing I do [it is my one aspiration]: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead,”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭3:13‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Apostle Paul did a lot of evil to people, prior to his conversation as a believer in Christ. He suffered a lot of persecution, even unto death for the sake of Christ. But he refused to let the things he did and what happened to stop him from moving forward.

That’s why the Word of God says: “I press on toward the goal to win the [supreme and heavenly] prize to which God in Christ Jesus is calling us upward.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭3:14‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

There is no way Paul could press towards the mark of the high calling if his love for Christ was not the same way as he encountered Jesus Christ. Paul’s action of letting go off his past was motivated by his first love for Christ.

You can’t move forward when you’re dominated by your past.

Remember: Love does not keep records of accounts.

Move forward!

Many blessings in Jesus’ Name.

Think and act!!!!!
