Today we read:
Isaiah 30-34
Galatians 1-3

-Food for thought day 258-

• Matthew 16:25
•‭‭ 1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:5‬

Loving God which is demonstrated by loving people brings deliverance to self.

“For whoever is bent on saving his [temporal] life [his comfort and security here] shall lose it [eternal life]; and whoever loses his life [his comfort and security here] for My sake shall find it [life everlasting].”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭16:25‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

The easiest way to be delivered from selfishness is to love people unreservedly. Any time you focus on yourself, you will end up losing the very thing you’re trying to protect; but when you focus on God by ministering to the needs of others, your own needs will be met.

That is why the Word of God says: “It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God’s love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong].”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:5‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Remember: to be delivered from self, you must love God and your neighbor unreservedly.

Be an unreserved lover of God and man!

Many blessings in Jesus’ Name.

Think and act!!!!!
