When a man marries a woman, one of the most important things in a relationship is, being faithful towards one another. Their faithfulness stems out of the love they have for each other.
The word ”faithful” is a synonym of steadfast.
“Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love Him and keep His commandments, to a thousand generations,”
Deuteronomy 7:9 ESV
Therefore, if God is faithful in loving us and expressed this by keeping His covenant towards us, we are to be faithful in our love towards one another and to those who needs it.
This is the reason why vows are made in marriages. It’s expected of both parties to be faithful to their words.
“… who swears to his own hurt and does not change;”
Psalms 15:4 AMPC
It’s from this same note that the Bible says: “The Steadfast Love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.”
Lamentations 3:22-23 ESV
When you profess God’s Love, be ready to be faithful to the person you’re expressing His Love to.
Love = Faithfulness
Remember: God’s Love is steadfast.
