Today we read:
John 7

It will really be unfair of God to ask you to do something, that He has not given you the ability to do. Walking in love and forgiveness is not supposed to be a struggle for you in Christ.

The reason why we’re asked to forgive, as God has forgiven us, is because He has given us the ability to do so.

“Let all bitterness and indignation and wrath (passion, rage, bad temper) and resentment (anger, animosity) and quarreling (brawling, clamor, contention) and slander (evil-speaking, abusive or blasphemous language) be banished from you, with all malice (spite, ill will, or baseness of any kind). And become useful and helpful and kind to one another, tenderhearted (compassionate, understanding, loving-hearted), forgiving one another [readily and freely], as God in Christ forgave you.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4:31-32‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

If it was impossible to do it, He would not ask us. He did not only give us the ability to do but also to be willing to do it. Also, your duty is to yield to His Spirit by yielding to The Word, and in The Word, there is power to bring about a change.

“[Not in your own strength] for it is God Who is all the while effectually at work in you [energizing and creating in you the power and desire], both to will and to work for His good pleasure and satisfaction and delight.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2:13‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Apostles Paul understood this great truth, that is why irrespective of all the trials and persecution he went through in ministry, He could still function in God’s love towards the brethren.

That is why he said: “For this I labor [unto weariness], striving with all the superhuman energy which He so mightily enkindles and works within me.”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1:29‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Paul depended on God’s ability in Him to function in love. Furthermore, you don’t need to be frustrated to love and function in forgiveness, as long as you yield to the inherent ability of God in you. This ability is Christ in you the hope of glory.

Remember, you can only walk in God’s love by depending on God’s grace which continuously helps you to will and to do.

Allow God’s grace to help you function in love and forgiveness.
