-Food for thought day 123-

• 1 Peter 2:20-23
• Luke 23:34

Our enemy is not people. We believers in Christ have one common enemy called satan; he is also called the accuser of the brethren. The reason why many are offended in church is, because they do not know one of the duties of satan is to sow discord among the brethren, through the spirit of offence. His reason being is, that we should deviate from the original purpose for which we are born again (Luke 4:18 And Matthew 20:28). He knows when we function in hate, we are not functioning in the law that governs our kingdom called love (Romans 13:10). Therefore, as long as we’re not walking in love we can never be effective ministers of the Gospel of Christ.

Jesus Christ our Lord knowing this, chose to commit himself continually to God so that He can stay focused in His assignment.

“For even to this were you called [it is inseparable from your vocation]. For Christ also suffered for you, leaving you [His personal] example, so that you should follow in His footsteps. He was guilty of no sin, neither was deceit (guile) ever found on His lips. [Isa. 53:9.] When He was reviled and insulted, He did not revile or offer insult in return; [when] He was abused and suffered, He made no threats [of vengeance]; but he trusted [Himself and everything] to Him Who judges fairly.”
‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭2:21-23‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

That is why Jesus said: “And Jesus prayed, Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do. And they divided His garments and distributed them by casting lots for them. [Ps. 22:18.]”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭23:34‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

He came to give His life as an exchange for our lives so that we may be reconciled back to God. That is why instead of vengeance due to the evil done to Him, He went ahead and ministered to us by paying the price for our sins.

It’s about time we stay focused and refuse to deviate from the purpose for which we are born again.

Let us all stay focused remembering we can only overcome evil with good.

Many blessings in Jesus’ Name.

Think and Act!!!!!
