-Food for thought day 107-

• John 13:34-35
• John 13:4-8
• Acts 20:35

God Almighty has already given to us all things that have to do with life and Godliness. Our duty is to use what we have and be a blessing to our society. It’s so funny how we always focus on what we have to receive than to give out. We are here to be a blessing. That’s why we have Christ in our lives.

When Jesus said: “I give you a new commandment: that you should love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you too should love one another. By this shall all [men] know that you are My disciples, if you love one another [if you keep on showing love among yourselves].”
‭‭John‬ ‭13:34-35‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

He was talking to His own disciples because He noticed how they loved to receive than to give. In John 13:4-8, He washed their feet communicating to them to be servants instead of lords. In other words, give yourself to others for Christ’s sake and by doing so you’re enriching your own life. We can only reach our goals in life when the service we render to others, impact their lives for good to serve the living God.

This is the reason why Paul said by the Holy Spirit: “In everything… being mindful of the words of the Lord Jesus, how He Himself said, It is more blessed (makes one happier and more to be envied) to give than to receive.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭20:35‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

It’s important that we purpose in ourselves to be givers and not just receivers.

Remember, Love is a Giver (John 3:16).

Many blessings in Jesus’ Name.
