Bible Study Plan 2020
Today we read:
2 Timothy 1-3
-Food for thought 2020 day 30-
Scripture of meditation:
• Romans 12:3
• 1 Corinthians 12:7
It’s possible to put yourself in a position in which God can lead you.
The Word of God says:
“I APPEAL to you, therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well-pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].”
Romans 12:1-2 AMPC
This scripture tells you what you can always do; this is not something God can do for you because it’s an act of your own will. Although it’s God’s idea, you will have to do it. As you are willing to bring into practice the above scripture, God’s faith will always be present for you to walk in the Spirit. Nobody can walk in the Spirit without seeing, hearing and acting in faith based on the leadings of the Spirit.
For this reason, the Word of God says:
“For by the grace (unmerited favor of God) given to me I warn everyone among you not to estimate and think of himself more highly than he ought [not to have an exaggerated opinion of his own importance], but to rate his ability with sober judgment, each according to the degree of faith apportioned by God to him.”
Romans 12:3 AMPC
The last verse says “ ….. the degree of faith apportioned by God to him”.
That means, it’s God that enables you to function or walk in the Spirit, it has nothing to do with you. He is the One that causes you to see, hear and is also responsible for the manifestation. The only thing you have to do is to follow the directions of His leadings.
“But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit to profit withal.”
When the Holy Spirit spoke through Paul of the “Manifestation”, it meant seeing, hearing and the act of performance to what is revealed. It’s not something you can manufacture but is given at the moment based on the need. The gifts of the Spirit manifest to solve problems.
That is why you should make it a habit of putting yourself in a position to be used by God.
Remember: you can’t walk in the Spirit without the Holy Spirit’s help, but you can position yourself to be led by the Holy Spirit.
Positioning yourself to be led by God’s Spirit!
Many blessings in Jesus’ Name.
